GERIATRIC NURSING TRAINING COURSE

Tuition (including registration fee): $1000
The Certified/Geriatric Nursing Assistant Training Program consists of 120 hours of instruction presented in two parts:
- Classroom/Theory – 72 hours of instruction on the theories and lab skills needed to develop nursing assistant skills, and
- Clinical Orientation – 48 hours of clinical training in a local long-term care facility which enables the student to observe, develop, and utilize the skills learned in the classroom.
Upon successful completion of the training, the student becomes eligible for:
- Registration with the Maryland Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Sitting for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) Examination.
ENTRANCE/ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Classroom space is limited and is on first-come, first-served basis for those applicants meeting these requirements:
- All applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- All applicants must complete and submit application form with the required application fee of $25.
- All applicants must schedule an interview and successfully pass the entrance examination. Please call NurseOne, Inc. for admission testing hours.
REQUIREMENTS AFTER ACCEPTANCE BUT PRIOR TO ATTENDING
- Evidence of a negative tuberculosis test or chest x-ray taken within 6 months prior to beginning training (indicating tuberculosis clearance), and
- Evidence of a physical examination (with record of immunizations) taken within 6 months prior to beginning of training. Immunization record must include Hepatitis B vaccination of declination information.

Tuition (including registration fee): $1000
Payable on or before the 1st day of class. Applicants may also opt to pay 50% on or before the 1st day of class and the remainder by twoinstallment.
Application fee: $25
Payable at the time application is submitted
Enrollment/Registration fee (applied to tuition): $50
Payable latest by enrollment/registration deadline
All fees accepted in money order made payable to NurseOne, Inc. No cash or personal checks accepted.
